Support for those who care. Spouses, family members and friends of veterans are a big part of the healing. Our Caregivers Program offers these folks an opportunity to gather to laugh, learn and help each other through all of life’s challenges and joys. These programs are offered at no cost to caregivers of Maine veterans with service-related PTSD and/or traumatic brain injury.
Monthly Lunch & Learn
Come join us! Our Caregivers Support Group meets monthly for lunch and learn the third Wednesday of every month at 11:30 AM. Meet some wonderful people to laugh, share, and learn with. This group is facilitated by EAV volunteers, and guest speakers often join to share information about resources available in Maine.
Annual Caregivers Retreat
Caregiver’s Mothers Day Getaway – Spring of 2020
This lovely weekend getaway will be held at Kieve-Wavus in Nobleboro, Maine. Caregivers will be the ones cared for at this nurturing retreat. Taking time to rest, rejuvenate, and share with others is an incredibly important part of being a successful caregiver.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Annual Caregivers Retreat is offered at no cost to the primary support person (spouse, family member, or close friend) of a Maine veteran with service-related post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury.
